Is your mobile phone taking over your mp3 player? Tell us how?
I have never really thought about it before but yeah it has. Whenever I look at buying a new phone I always get a phone which stores and plays alot of music. I actually don't even think I have a mp3/ipod anymore. lol Im thinking of getting the nokia 5800 xpressmusic. Which reminds me before my phone noe i had the nokia 5310.

Unfortunately, a lot of phones say they're an mp3 when they're not. It's the people that own these phones that carry iPods.
I have an iPhone. Basically it's an ipod touch with added thickness and phone functionality. The reason I love it so much is because everyone agrees iPods are amazing portable media devices already, so I just think of it more as an iPod that you can use as a phone instead of a phone you can use as an iPod.
My phone can't hold enough songs.
I have over 3000 songs on my ipod, which honestly I probably don't need all the time but sometimes I do feel like listening to something I haven't listened to in months or even years.
I like to keep my phone and mobile as separate things. I don't even have any music on my phone.
However, here are my issues that make it a slow process to move totally to a phone:
1. Can only use headphones that come with the phone and they always fall out of my ears.
2. I have to copy music in different formats for different devices – really annoying and time consuming.
3. The phone is bigger than my mp3 player and not weather resistant, so is a concern when outside exercising.
I am looking forward to see how technology changes to accommodate the things that I find frustrating.
Edit: I just clicked on your advertisement that took me to your page (http://www.comeswithmusic.com/australia) and I was trying my hardest to pick obscure songs or artists that you may not have, but they were ALL there! I even picked some little-known Cuban and Latin groups/songs. My contract has run out so I can get a new phone – might just check out your ones with music.
I guess economical recession is also making me feel that to buy only one multi-functional device is the better option.
its a cheaper yet more useful alternative to a normal mp3 or mp4 player.
so, just put a memory card in, easy as anything to transfer songs etc from the computer, and off i go, listening to my music or the radio when i'm not talking on the same gadget.
i must have had more than 5 mp3 players and hardly ever used them.
but this is different. one gadget does all.
I was then given a Nokia E51 this year and prefer to use my phone for music instead!
Not only can it hold all of my favourite tracks but I can listen to the radio too! Can't do that an an iPod can you?
so i now have the lg renour heaps better then my i touch i mean phone and music its loud speakers i have like 2000 songs its all good
heaps better then mp3 player i hate mp3 players now
ive run out of room on my ipod
so i just bought a memory card for my phone
and upload all my new songs onto it
and its so much more conveniant having everything all together :
lol
I never use anything else besides my iphone 3g
but isn't that what it was designed for??
